Most of the time I look for a book, or I hang up a black T-shirt haha. Last time I actually used a bristle board.

Nice. I use a Canon Powershot S3 Is or something. I don't have any macro lenses.

I love taking pics with black backgrounds. All I do to do that is put something black behind the plants I'm photographing, and aim two CFL's on the plant and away from the black background and take pics. Most of the time I'm too lazy to use a tripod, so I just rest the camera on the pot or my knee to keep it steady.

I use a 60 mm macro lens on a T1i Rebel (Canon), and I usually use a tripod for stability. I'm hoping to get a monopod soon
