Where can I see a Venus Fly Trap in the wild?

Venus Fly Traps are only native to North and South Carolina in the United States. If you find Wilmington, North Carolina on a map and draw a 100 mile circle around the city, that is the original range for the Venus Fly Trap. The best places in that area to see wild Venus Fly Traps are:

1) The Green Swamp
2) Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden in Wilmington, North Carolina
3) Croatan National Forest

The Venus Fly Trap has been introduced to many other places in the world, so you may be able to see Venus Fly Traps growing in the wild near you, but to see the Dionaea muscipula in its original, natural habitat, you must journey to the Carolinas.
