Product Description
Drosera capensis red is also called the Cape Sundew, originates in the cape area of south Africa and is an easy drosera to grow. Although the Droseragrows easily, it is not a common plant, and is hard to find in the wild.
Drosera capensis red is mostly a beautiful red, especially when given good light, and can go from scarlet to burgundy depending on the light. Amazingly, leaves curl in over time to trap insects who are lured in by the sparkly sweet dew drops that top the many red fibers on the leaves.
Bright pink flowers grace the flower stalks when they bloom in early summer. Collect the seeds from the dried flower stalks, so you can grow more! Drosera capensis red will not need a dormancy unless it is subjected to very little light or cold temperatures, and then will have a semi-dormancy.
