awesome plantReceived my plant today and all I can say is wow. When it arrived it was very sturdy and vigorous. To my surprise she I unravelled it was already spit into two plants. Thanks matt and Leah.

Very Nice Neat and Sturdy Upright Growth, Bigger Than I ExpectedI ordered a Young Adult, potted and it arrived in excellent shape with 6 larger traps than I expected this type of flytrap to have, it's my first FTS Shogun Star. One of the traps had a really big fly in it! The plant was overall larger than I was expecting. It had 2 more traps not fully developed, not open yet. This plant is very beautiful with sturdy upright and even growth pattern. I'm very glad I decided to add this to my collection. I really like the upright and even, neat looking growth pattern.

Really healthy plant for the price!I love the look of this vft, it is my first vft and I wanted something with variety since I already own a regular flytrap. It had arrived without any damage and is really healthy, some of the traps already have a mealworm in it. I can't wait to see it grow =)

Really healthy plant for the price!It was my first time ordering my first vft from this website, and I wanted to pick something that was unique. My first vft was bought from a convention and I wanted variety. So this plant stood out to me and upon receiving it, it is beautiful. It arrived with no damage to the plant.
The pictures do not do it justice, and I noticed how some of the traps had a mealworm in it already. I really hope it grows more traps =)Posted on

Interesting cultivarI bought this Venus Flytrap cultivar as a bare root, dormant plant. It was in great shape and I planted it soon after receiving it. It came out of dormancy fine and so far (less than a year), it's doing very well. It came with a small plantlet already growing off the rhizome and that's still doing well too. I'm keeping this plant outdoors in direct sunlight where it's free to catch it's own insects.
Appearance wise, it's cilia seem to be in-between the Dentate Traps and the Sawtooth. I tell my friend that I guess the name for this cultivar comes from the Japanese "shuriken" (probably easier for some people to say "Shogun Star" than "shuriken"). :)Posted on
