A favorite of everyone at FlytrapStore.com, Jaws is a vicious looking large-trapped Venus Flytrap, the result of a cross between Dentate Traps and a vigorous unnamed Flytrap. In addition to the traps being extra-large, they are often a deep, bloody red, especially into the Summer. Jaws is an attractive upright grower (when not Dormant).
Note: Interestingly, the saw-tooth development for Jaws is seasonal, showing up most strongly in the Summer. Learn More
Acquired by Matt in 2022, Carnivoria Ramesse I is currently our favorite new cultivar. Like Alien and Jaws Smiley, Carnivoria Ramesse I make elongated traps filled with hundreds of tiny trigger hairs. For us, it grows with far more vigor than Jaws Smiley but has similar curled trap edges, making it look like it is smiling. Traps can get very large and we wouldn't be surprised if it surpasses Alien for the world's longest traps one day. Learn More
GJ Giant Cudo has wicked shaped traps and a freaky growth habit making it easy to pick out of any collection and a must have for those who love unusual flytraps! Learn More
"GJ Goliath" is a giant flytrap selection with shorter-than-normal teeth, good coloration on the trap interiors, and a nice, compact growth habit. It is known to be one of the largest Venus flytraps in cultivation.
This beautiful book on Venus Flytraps makes a perfect Holiday gift. The first complete monograph of Dionaea muscipula, the world-famous "Venus's Flytrap". Described by Charles Darwin as "the most amazing plant in the world", this unmistakable insect-eating plant produces leaves that bear jaw-like lobes that dramatically snap shut when triggered.
Included in the book is a Venus flytrap cultivar chapter with detailed descriptions and photos of over 100 cultivated varieties from all over the world, some of which have never been documented before! This chapter is co-authored by Matt Miller of FlytrapStore.com and Matthias (Matze) Maier of Green Jaws Nursery.

Named for its very long marginal lashes that are usually red in coloration, GJ Phalanx is a very striking Venus flytrap. If you like GJ Phalanx, be sure to check out another plant from our own breeding program, Trictherfalle x Coquillage, that has very long "teeth" which rival or surpass those of Phalanx!
