Whenever you come across spam on the forum it's important not to quote it or reply to it. This is important because for users not to lose track
of what the main topic was about or when a new user browses the forums. So when you come across it just report it for a moderator or admin
to remove it do it my simply pressing the upside down triangle near the "Thanks" and "Quote" button. As the picture below will have a circle
around the button.

Also do not quote any spam posts

Please note that it's also not safe to click on the links that are provided in a spam for some may contain viruses.

Example of a Spam post and the Report button circled as shown.

Once you click on the report button it will take you too this page. You have to select under which category it falls under
Image

when your done submitting it than it should say that it was reported successfully

If someone already reported a post that contains spam it should show a page like this.

Hope this helps :)

I do believe it's sent to Mods or Admins for them to remove. So whenever they get to it

Thanks Allen for posting this simple guide.

As soon as one of the moderators or site admin team see the reported post it will be deleted and the user that made the spam post is usually banned permanently.

We (Matt, I and other moderators) take care of the spam as quickly as we can. There have been quite a few spammers despite the ReCaptcha module (which cuts down on a LOT of them) and spam comments at the main FlytrapCare.com website, but we do take care of them as efficiently as we can. :)

Sounds fine. Just as long as they get deleted :). And Matt or Steve, thanks for adding the new subtopics at the top of the Board index :D

Just a quick and important reminder to all users not to quote spam messages. This may pose a risk to others as it is essentially a double post of the spam message. This also bumps very old threads and makes newer, more urgent threads disappear in the new posts listings.

As said above by other users, all reports are dealt with as soon as a Moderator or Admin is online and the spammer is promptly banned.
