Today I was trying to get a good close look, a bugs eye view of my Pinguicula cyclosecta. The photo turned out halfway decent.

Good growing,
Mike

Here is a photo of the latest arrival in my collection. It is a Drosera capensis "Bain's Kloof". This is a mountain pass in South Africa. The capensis there have at least one distinct form of wide leafed compact growing habit.

This is a Sundew I've been searching for for a long time.

I plan to grow it as a highlander, similar to my D. regia care regime.

And speaking of Drosera regia, here is a shot of one of my latest batch of seedlings.

Good growing,
Mike

Today was seed sowing day. I sowed D. paradoxa, D. burmannii (typical and green), D. finlaysoniana, Drosophyllum lusitanicum, and 3 species of trees I got in a bonsai kit for Christmas. Red Maple, Silver Birch, and Mountain Pine. Also all the plants got fed today.

Well today I got disheartened a little, my wonderful cat miss Ashes turned over my test tubes with all of my seeds that I had started using water germination. So I cleaned up the mess and started over again lol also I took my first cephalouts cutting and with the help of some cloning gell I hope to clone my first plant ever.

took my first D.binata cutting just to try it out, when i went to my shelf to take the cutting i noticed that the first mature pitcher of my heliamphora finally opend up :D. so i was really happy with that, but when took a look at the other pots it gave me a jumpscare, a 3inch tall mushroom out of nowhere

Watered everybody, observed that some of my planted-on-Christmas D. Capensis seedlings are unfurling tiny little sticky dews for the first time, and fed a couple of found-dead ladybugs to the smaller of my N. Sanguinea that hasn't been catching much. Also moved my two petri dishes of unknown (Ebay seller, but reviewed well) sundew seeds on top of a terrarium hood in hopes of speeding their so-far-absent growth with the warmth.

Split up some d.adelae i had growing in a big huge pot. What appeared to be 4 plants, ended up being about 6 or 7 of them. Have too many now.. yesterday sowed B.Aquatica and B.Gigantea. Getting ready to begin repotting some outdoor vfts that i dont care much about but i keep them going because they've survived for a few years and don't want to lose them...

I repotted a VFT into a much more aesthetic/ functional pot. As well as spraying some neem oil on my collection per thread leader's (Boarderlib) suggestion. :D

Oh! And fed a few of them too. Fruit flies and a spider. Hehe

I completely forgot about this thread, but I did harvest some special VFT seeds this morning before I had to come into work. .
