I've won a number of plants from Hollyhock. I was playing with the camera today and thought I'd shoot a couple of them.

First is a Drosera admirabilis "Sp Floating". It really like the MarsHydro LEDs.

A big thank you to hollyhock for the mimosa pudica seeds. Last night was the first time I got to play with the leaves. I must say I had a blast watching them curl away. My daughters face was priceless when I had her touch one. Her eyes were as big ass silver dollars when it pulled away from her. Lol

Truly an awesome plant!

After I sent you the seeds I decided to grow some again .. Thanks for the inspiration. They are a very cool plant.. :D
And don't worry touching it does not harm it in any way. When it gets bigger watch out for the thorns. They are harmful to your fingers.

You did a nice job growing those plants...
The flowers produce quite a few seeds. You will have 2nd generation plants and maybe even a few seeds for a giveaway... :D

The big plant has a regular fertilization on MaxSea. The small one in the other pic has never been fertilized. Both were sown at the same time. Theres a night and day difference between the two.

This is what I have to addImage It's a burmanii I don't know if I spelt that right. I bought 100 seeds, what does she do, give me 1000, now it was probably more of an educated guess because they are literal powder , but still 10x more than I expected! Sadly I only plant a little bit of them, two germinated, my uncle then proceeded to open and close the container about 10 times. Of course not seeing the power seeds spilled them everywhere, but it's ok because I still got two plants!

Happy Growing,

Dillon

My FTS Maroon Monster is looking all grown up and sending its very first flower scape skyward. This was from Hollyhock's Red, White, and Blue Giveaway, last July 4th, 2016.

I cut the flower stalk right I after I took the picture and stuck it horizontally in some living Sphagnum Moss. In two months or so, I'll check to see if it propagated itself into a new plant.

Thanks to Hollyhock for doing this giveaway and all the giveaways she has sponsored.

Good growing,
Mike
