While browsing the Indonesian version of eBay looking for rare VFT variants and found this rare variant:

Translation: HOT LIST 10 Genuine venus flytrap seeds

Rp. 240.000 = approx. $18

This must be a new unregistered cultivar, purple flowers!! It seems to be called VFT "Lavender"!!

Seems legit!

Looks like Lavender all right, just not Dionaea.

That’s just bizarre. But I am selling seeds for Pinguicula “Maple.” Beautiful fall color, and a real bargain at only $100 a seed!

That's my favorite non-carnivorous plant! It's a desert rose. Mine is named Betty. Bought it because of the cool looking trunk and I was AMAZED when it bloomed a few years later. I had no idea what it was at the time.

I might be considered a crazy maniac after saying this but why do people like these so much? Yes I can see that they look like fat little trees and the flower is pretty but why do people like this so much? Maybe I need to expose myself more to adeniums.

Also, I had this one for quite some time. More than 7 years I believe. Maybe 8 years.

I can only speak for myself. Like I said, I had no idea what it was when I bought it (it was unlabeled) and just thought it was wacky looking. The flowers shocked me with their size and brilliant color. it's a gorgeous plant.

I just found this in my Flaming Lips pot. Super rare VFT sunflower hybrid!

In all seriousness, though, this is a sunflower, right? Really weird because I don't grow them and neither do my neighbors.

Have you been eating sunflower seeds? I know a case where someone bought raw sunflower seeds for consumption and a few fell on the ground and they grey.
