Today I saw a spider crawling around my Vft. My plant is a young Grun so the traps are not full sized yet. I assume the spider was attracted to the flies in my are flying around my plant or some other reason to that manner. I went outside to get a closer look and saw the spider stumbled into the trap. When the trap triggered, the spider was captured but some of its legs were still hanging out. I read that this could kill the trap as it allows bacteria in while digesting. Is there any way to prevent the trap from dying? Is the trap dying 100% guaranteed? Or is there a chance the trap won't die? I'm still a bit noobish. Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it too much, even if that trap does die the plant will make new ones

It's normal, don't worry about it. Leave it alone.
