Matt's seedlings are getting bigger, here's some closed up photos of them.

They germinated around 3 Aug and now they have teeth!

This batch is the Typical Seeds, 16 our of 20. Good germination rate!















This batch is Mix red seeds. 9 out of 15 germinated. Slower in growth but not losing in appearance

everything I do goes to peat:perlite

I must just pot them later in different mix, some with lfs and some in P/P

As I was tending to my plants, I spotted this little Jumping spider ( Salticidae) it was busy eating a fly, no wonder it didn't run away.
I thought it look like one of the spider I have photograph before. Photo below

I notice this trap has caught something recently and was wondering what it was as it seems a little big from the shadows. a few days later today, i see a damage on the same trap. Very curious what insect could have done that. I can't wait for the trap to reopen.

Stinky bugs rot my traps, always, even when the trap doubles their size. I say it is because of the chemicals like benzaldehide they have

Geez. Stink bug. We shall find out soon

They live everywhere, and if killed, great food for drosera and easy kill for nepenthes (they seem to be able to climb almost always)

I must be lucky, I was able to witness the first flower bloom on the Tokaiensis flower stalk.

looking forward to that! Btw is that the usual Styrofoam cup you used? Means the sundew is really tiny!

Yes it's a styrofoam cup. I try to find the big styrofoam pots they use in this forum but can onky find these cups. The sundew ia about 4cm across. A young plant. Also know as medium size

I see, did you grow them from seeds? If so how long did you take to get to 4cm?

Hmmm. now that you've mentioned. I don't think I keep track of the time but a rough guess would be 4 to 6 months leaving it alone without spoon feed. But even small ones, the flowers like mad. I had to trim it off as i dont need seeds and perhaps, a precaution incase it took too much energy to produce seeds. Thus, slowing down growth.
