Spagnum moss turning green

Hello again! Different thread with a different question about another plant, but I promise this is it for now!

All of my VFT are potted in LFSM. I got this plant about a month ago, and the moss is turning a green hue throughout (from its original light brown) Is that normal or ok? No odd smells or any other major concerns.

Relevant Info:
- Pennsylvania, outdoors in full sun (south facing). Temps here have fluctuated a lot in the past week from 40s-70s with most days in the 50s-60s.
- Currently using the dish method for watering, but open to better suggestions. Distilled water/rain water only. This guy drinks a LOT and soaks up any water I put in the dish within an hour or so - much more quickly than any of my other plants.

Looks like algae, and that is normal.
