I very recently have become interested in growing Utricularia... I sometimes look into the pots and am sure that I have killed them and then something wonderful happens... :D

Wonderful little flower. I hope to be able to track one down at some point.

All that I can suggest is that mine all started to flower once I flooded them from the top every other day...And diluted maxsea once or twice a month has really helped too... :D

Do you let the water level go down before you flood it again or the water level always all the way at the top?

I have the pots constantly sitting in about an inch of water. When I said flood, I meant that I top water and let the water drain though the pot. Because utricularia really don't have "roots" I think that watering them from the top has been helpful for them to start flowering. This is just what I have read and been told by others with way more experience than I have growing these wonderful plants. I think there are probably others factors that also contribute to flowering.. :D

Be careful what you wish for. Some utrics can easily spread into every pot you have. I got some as a hitchhiker with some Sarrs I got. It's now in some of my daughters drosera pots.

Beautiful little flower hollyhock!
