I've learned tons. Maybe not "skills" per say, but the biggest things are probably:

1. How to revive unhealthy plants
2. Learning that sometimes less caring is more
3. Learning that a plant is never dead until the last cell is dead.
4. Propogation by pullings, cuttings, and tissue culture

id say learning how to feed flytraps
especially the baby ones ,because that's a pain lol ,
and id say I'm still gaining skill in the area of plant environment
and trying to make that perfect balance.

1. The entertainment of watching someone buy a Walmart flytrap, them almost killing it, then me reviving it. In their eyes this looks like witchcraft.

1.All sand is not the same.
2.Even if everything above ground is dead just keep acting like a growing plant is there and nothing is wrong. There's a good chance it will come back.
3.If you collect rain water in a barrel or other container to be stored in jugs for later, don't wait too long and strain it first. It will cut down on it turning green.
4.Plant it in the right soil, give it the right water and the right amount of light. Then leave it alone and enjoy watching it do it's thing. :D
