So I have my S. rubra growing outside, and it's getting really big and crowded. Since spring is only a few months away, do you think i should cut off all the pitchers so in the spring the new growth can get enough light?

HI

I would only trim back only parts of pitches that are brown, and leave the rest of the pitcher as it is.

when your plant comes out of dormancy. it will need the pitches to help with photosynthesis
when last years pitches start to die then trim plants back gradually

you could also split your plant if its getting over crowded
