King Henry was one of the first three carnivorous plants I bought in August of 2014. I went in a repotting frenzy because I couldn't figure out the right soil recipe and brands. I finally settled on the right soil and pot. The plant starting growing like crazy. The traps got bigger and the plant developed multiple rhizomes. Just repotted it yesterday and the little rhizomes reminds me of buk choi, super cute. I gave it a wayyyy bigger pot upgrade. It's waking up from another dormancy and I can't wait to see this beast grow again.

I'll bet they're yummier than a black petiole. :) Years ago, when I pruned my favorite VFT, a tiny blackened piece of it landed on my pants. In the kitchen, where I looked at my thighs, I thought, "Hmm, that looks like part of the protein bar I ate for breakfast. Waste not, want not." In my mouth it went before I spat it out at top speed. Do you know what it's like to realize that your tongue has just touched something that may have contain chemical remains of a fly? Eeeeeuuu.
