hmmmm ok. Did you cover using something like clingfilm? seen a lot of places advising that to like keep humidity up? that could have kept pests out

sorry for the loss, But at lot of times we OVERCARE for our babies, Mostvtimes keep the soil most and strong light will work. Too much movement and or too much time trying to get things perfect by the numbers is not good. Learn from what happened and roll on. Dont be too down about it,,Like all things in life it is a learning thing.

Totally agree with that statement , I had to get it through my head that the VFT is not a tropical plant ... sorry about your plant though .
