I definetly wouldnt recommened it. Unless, it was like cloudy with a chance of meatballs and the town was over populated with food.. Maybe venus flytraps could adapt and become venus food traps HAHA

In their natural habitat they sometimes catch small vertebrates like small frogs or young lizards, but don't feed VFT's with them please:)

A lot of people think that since the plant is Carnivorous it can eat anything but that just isn't true. They don't have the right "organs" to digest food like we do. It can only eat insects, an nothing other than that without causing harm to it.

Well neps are an exception, theoretically they have some of the right digestive enzymes to digest more "complicated" beings, for example N.jamban was reported to catch rats in the wild... and it won't harm it

Well, its agreed tho. I wouldnt go looking for small frogs/mice in the wild to feed your plant.. One things it would be a pain to do/Secondly, who wants to spend there day catching frogs and mice, seems like torchure to me

You can feed flytraps betta fish pellets that have been dipped in water first though. I've had success with this. If you don't dip them in water, the trap often burns at the spot where the pellet was.

You have to massage the trap a few times to stimulate the trigger hairs or it won't "eat" the betta pellet(s). Only feed small amounts of pellets though. One for small traps, a few for larger traps, and of course don't feed all of the traps betta pellets at once or the flytrap will at least go into decline if not die. One to three traps at a time at most. Start slow and see what works.

I would just think allowing the flytrap to catch its own bugs would be good enough. Its not like Venus Flytraps will die without the food :)
