After being interested in orchids for a long time, I decided to finally get a couple from Lowes for my birthday in August. There wasn't much of a selection, but I picked out the two I liked best. Below are a couple of snapshots of the blooms.

I've pollinated the lavender one and I hope to practice my orchid seed flasking skills when the pod ripens in a month or so.

They are pretty though.

Are they both the same thing? The look like the same type of orchids but one had lighter colour.

That just means they're all mixed up!
