I haven't checked on my venus flytraps for a week and have just noticed them starting to grow a flower stalk. I have 7 pots of them and would rather keep the stalks on rather than cutting them off.

Here are their photos:

Thank you for any replies.
By the way, how do I stop the images from tilting 90 degrees sideways? I took the pictures with my Iphone

They look perfectly healthy to me. I see no reason why you should cut them if you want to get some seeds. They should do just fine.

Pics look the correct way for me.

I had the same question a little while ago, and I was told it isn’t a good idea due to how close we are to the time vft’s need to go dormant.

Granted that’s if u live in the northern hemisphere.

From all that I have read once your vft comes out of dormancy in spring it should throw up a new flower!

My plant is confused about what time of the year it is, and will readjust it’s self after dormancy!
(Not sure if this part is true, since I’m just repeating what I’ve read on the internet)
