If necessary, having a bit more sand than perlite or even peat should be good especially if it's coarse

I've heard it can help a bit but isn't really necessary. Some species will like it but others will be upset about it. Something about there being calciferous Pinguicula or something like that

I assume you'd have to look up which species are calciferous. I know there was a list online for a while
Also you could look up P. cylosecta lime rock and see what pops up
