Sorry I'm new here and don't know where to ask questions at but I do have one. Is there a proper way to water my Venus Flytrap? When I water it sometimes the water goes into the mouth of the trap and it closes. Is that okay or am I harming the plant by doing that?

The easiest way is to use the "tray method," which just means setting the pot in a tray of water 1/2 inch deep or so all the time. Is your plant from one of those plastic cubes from Lowes/Walmart etc.?
