I'm not an LED expert so I can't offer much. But the closer to 6500K the better for foliage growth. I'm not familiar with that illumination number either... I've learned to look for the Lumen output to know what's good. If their "Illumination: =280lm" translates into 280 lumens it's trash. You need a bit more than that.

Does it have to be LED, and are you willing to build your own set up? There are some decent fluorescent options at hardware stores, and nice LED bulbs on ebay that I screw into clamp lights (also from the hardware store). Works for all my sundews, VFT's, Heliamphoras, and Ceph.

Hi SundewWolf,

Thanks for the quick response. Appreciate it :).

Hmmm im not really a handyman type but i can try as long as i have a guide to follow hehehe.

I'm also thinking of using fluorescent lights. I have an existing lamp that i think i can use and just replace the bulb. I also saw a post here about the Philips bulb. I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

What would be the ideal lm to use? I'll try to drop by later on our local hardware store to look for it. :)
