It does not matter in the slightest. Even with VFTs you won't see more than a temporary slowdown in growth if the plant is healthy.

Doesn't anybody like flowers?

They do slow down. During the winter, if they flower and you don't feed it enough, it starts to decline. Even Drosera capensis. When it stops flowering it usually goes back to normal. Feeding helps a lot - well fed Drosera will not mind flowering at all, it will actually push out more flowers.

I let my only humpty doo flowering.
And my plant really look awful & miserable. It shrunk 2/3 from original size. I was afraid it will die because the leaves were so very tiny I can't even put an ant.... Lucky it was still dewy.
It took 4 weeks for my plant to look like normal again.
So, no more flower.
And I am lucky because the seeds grew too.

If your Drosera is suffering from flowering, then that means it is already in bad conditions. The worst thing that has happened to my Drosera is the plant slightly shrinking in size due to producing so many flower stalks.

The only time I've noticed flowering affecting one of my sundews was when I had a capensis grow 4 flower stalks in rapid succession, and the plant just shrunk slightly for a short time.
