Tomorrow I am getting a paphiopedilum glaucophyllum from an order. I have tree fern fiber and sphag prepared. I found that they need water retaining mixtures. My plan is to mix fern fiber and sphag, 3:1, is this good? My other idea us to fill it with tree fern fiber and put moss on top to make it look nice. What should I do? The seller I ordered from frows in full fern fiber.

I have a 4:1 of redwood and it's perfect and it should work just fine, I also have some coconut coir in it so it's not as much sphagnum

Happy Growing,

Is the tree fern fiber in chunks or more sifted?
I'm using 1:1 LFS and cypress mulch, working just fine for me

Sifted, chunks are hard to work with for me.
