i have a tupperware box of drosera seedlings and have noticed that if the soil is really moist there will be lots of fungus gnats (but most of them get caught by the dew so its no problem) but as the soil get dryer the fungus gnats will get out of the soil to look for some more moist areas.

so what im doing is i water the plants, wait till the soil is almost dry, at which point the fungus gnats try to escape and get caught by the dew, then i just water them again and repeat the cycle.

I also have some fungus gnats that were in a pot I used to grow greens last year. When I brought it inside they started appearing. I vote for the sundew approach to handling them. They seem to stay isolated to the area around my pots and grow lights so it's not effecting much in the house. All I know is that they are a free source of food thus far.
