Hi all,
I am hoping someone will be able to help me with this.
I have had my one Nepenthes for over a year now, and recently one of the leaves died off but the dead area seems to be spreading onto the stem as well?
I have attached some pics of what i am talking about.
Is this something to be worried about as the plant has 5 or 6 pitchers, descent in size?
I am just really paranoid and do not want to loose this beauty.
I do have other plants as well, all seem to be doing great.

Thanks

It almost looks like it's just getting too much water. Is the substrate always wet? I've found the plants like to dry out a little before being watered again, more so in the winter time with their being less light to grow. I water mine, then lift the pot to feel how heavy it is when it's full of water. i don't water again until it's much lighter and easy to lift. You may also want to spray your leaves with some water next time you water to help wash off some of the dust accumulating on the leaves.

Might be nothing or might be rot. If it's rot, it's in the growth point already and the plant is toast. It might also be normal aging of the vine tissue. They seem to turn brown or black with age, and get woody. Either way, you need to wait and see. Not much you can do.
