The one and only Nepenthes hamata in my collection has been growing for a little over a year now, and I've photographed it many times along the way (it is just too cool not to  ). So, I decided to put together a progression over the year since getting it. Following the advice of the seller, I kept the tiny pitchers filled to the brim with MaxSea at 1/2 tsp per gallon (essentially filling once per week). I've never done this before, but the growth came along pretty well, so I kept up with it. I cannot say that not doing it would yield any different results though. The plant is alive and healthy, so I'm pleased. It graduated to Osmocote pellets a couple months ago.

I received the plant around the beginning of December 2015, and this is the earliest photo I have of it towards the end of December. It is still in the same 2 inch pot.

The humidity is kept between 75-80% now (I used to have it higher, but the Heliamphora flowers would stick too much and not open properly), and the temps range from low 60s over night to ~72F during the day (~76F during the summer). Not quite ideal, but I haven't noted much stress from any of the plants.

Thanks! It is from a seed grown plant that SouthBay Traps has. Mike stated when I got it that the seeds came from a grower that crossed a Wistuba clone with seed grown plant.
