I am from Canada, I can get pretty cold here and the summers are pretty mild. I think that my venus flytraps are going into dormant. The average temp. has been going down. Some of the new sprouts are turnning black. There is lots of light, not direct. I use distilled water and no fertilizer. I use a mix of sand and peat moss.
The pictures are attachments.

You flytrap isn't going dormant. It's just very unhappy living inside that container. The best thing you can do for your plant is to take it out of that bank thing and put it outside. That would be the best alternative. But if that's not an option place it a very sunny window that gets at least 4 hours of light not inside any kind of container or covering. Flytrap's really need light and good air circulation not humidity.

Thanks! Its a peanut butter container... I have a new problem. I opened the lid and put it into a sunny spot. There are little bugs in the container, i havent noticed them before. I mean LOTS of little bugs, as if one of the bugs i put in at one point had laid eggs. What should I do??

Repot it in new medium in a regular pot with drainage holes or even a Styrofoam cup with a hole poked in the bottom.. You really need to get it out of that container so it doesn't rot or develop fungus. Also the plastic jar could act like a magnifying glass and cook your plants :D

first...and sorry for the caps... but GET IT OUT OF THAT CONTAINER (and I'm not yelling at you so don't worry. we just see a lot of new growers putting them in containers with tops, etc. and we are just trying to get the point across lol). we cannot stress that enough where VFTs are concerned. they don't need high humidity and need air flow to keep the rhizome and top part of the soil just moist so it doesn't rot. then, follow what Hollyhock said lol...
