Hey guys

So my seeds were planted a week and a half ago(neps and vfts). My neps are fine, in dried sphagnum, just waiting for germination.

My vfts on the other hand are growing in a peat/riverbank mix, and it's exploded with algae. Will they germinate through it? Should I try to find the seeds and put them in new media? Is there a way to save them? It's my first time growing from seed and I'd really like at least 1 to come through alive.

Thanks in advance

They should grow through some moderate amounts of algae. Do you have pictures? Don't try removing seeds, that's unlikely to be successful. Heavy algae is usually a sign of too many nutrients (and the soil could be an issue), light algae is totally normal and it's usually not a problem.

If it's too moist, you might want to try uncovering them, as long as the seeds are damp they should be fine, but I don't think that's really needed.
