Betas are carnivorous(mostly anyways). I'm just pointing out that that it's a low quality food. Maybe it doesn't matter if your fish lived for 3 years. I'm not sure if the corn, wheat and other fillers would harm your plants but maybe a higher quality Beta pellet could be better utilized by your plants. Some of the ingredients I can make out are Copper sulfate, used as a anti-fungal and a root killer. Also Sodium(I can't see the second word) but it's a salt of some form.

I used the flaky kind for my nepenthes and they work fine. I dunno how well those pellets would work though, since it has a lot of plant fillers
