Hello,

I am noticing a brownish reddish tint on some of the leaf bases of my magatrap plant. And the moss is a bit greenish looking on top. I've had them outside when weather permits but we've had a cold snap up here in Connecticut so they have been on the windowsill and bright sun most of the day anyway. Am I watering it too much. Just a bit worried.
Thanks for any advice.

Looks very healthy. Some of the leaves got a bit of sunburn (that's the browning on the edge of the leaves) from being put outside, but that's fine. The new growth looks great.

As for the algae on top, that comes no matter what. But keeping them wet does speed its growth. Best to let the pot nearly go dry (it should weigh practically nothing) before saturating the moss again.
