Right now, I have three non-carnivorous plants in my dorm room. One's an air plant that I bought last may, one's an orchid that I bought yesterday, and one's a little cactus that I got as a cutting from the trash can in the life science lab at Corning Community College two years ago. I repotted the orchid immediately after getting back to my room, as it looked terrible. There were only a few good roots, so I hope I can get it to thrive and flower again one day. The cactus is a lot bigger than it was when I got it, and has produced too many offsets to count. It's due for repotting next chance I get. I water the air plant in the sink twice a week, and it seems fine with that.
