Thanks for the great photos Jason! Your plants look very happy and well cared for. One thing I'd suggest: cut off the smaller flower stalk on the plants that are sending up 2 flower stalks. They normally don't produce much, if any, seed if allowed to mature anyway and they put an extra toll on the plant.

Thanks for the advice. I was going to let them grow since I was wanting to use the B52 pollen for the Maroon Monster since the flower stalks are at different stages. But' I'll cut them off and propagate them. I'll try to save some pollen. I'm sure the B52 is going to flower well before the rest.

B52 flowers about to open. I'm going to have to try and store some pollen from it. Not many of my other flytraps are as developed as this one.

This is a massive flower. I would say its close to a half dollar in size. I was hoping my Maroon Monster's flower would be open but its not so I'm going to try and save some pollen to use.

Great looking VFTs! Do you ever get any overheating problems when you grow your plants in clear pots?

In the past I had Styrofoam cups over the outside of the clear ones to help insulate and they seemed to do fine. I'm not sure why I used the clear ones in the first place. I think I did it to monitor the moisture level a little easier or its all I had laying around. They sat in a window sill in the clear cups all last growing season. I didn't notice any problems with over heating. They didn't grow very large in comparison to my green but none of my red traps have and to my understanding the red varieties don't or are much slower growers.

This is a flytrap I got from Lowes and have neglected over the years. I'm starting to do a little better at taking care of it and it looks great.
