Hopefully my other filifolia plant sends up a flower stalk as well, so I can get lots of seed. (Apologies if the images are sideways, not sure why this happens when I upload from my phone).

Whoa. I had no idea pings could look like that. Yup, first thing I do once I am gainfully employed once again is buy pings.

And some more flytraps. Can never have enough flytraps.

Do you know if they are self fertile? Hopefully they are so you can spread this awesome looking plant around.

They are fairly self fertile but that is not really a long term solution. I'm hoping the other plant I have starts sending up flower stalks soon so I can start crossing and getting lots of healthy seeds.

I hope so too. I wouldn't mind having a big ole pot full of these.

Oh, I think I misinterpreted your question. You have to fertilize these by hand, but you can use the pollen of one plant on itself with some success.

Yeah I figured you had to manually pollinate. I was just wondering if you only needed one or if it had to be two separate plants.
