Next to my fly trap I have a spruce tree that I grew from seeds.

Neat!

Be sure the water underneath them doesn't touch both pots, though, it could end up contaminating the water with minerals from the spruce's soil that the flytrap would soak up.

I have a system in place to prevent this, but in the future I want to have a dedicated pot, garden, etc (not sure what yet) just for fly traps. I am thinking either a window garden because then it would be outside.
