Well.... I had every intention on telling NO ONE I had this because it's definitely a huge step up from my Alata. And when/if I failed, I'm the only one to sulk.

I know I know hahaha. Just didn't want to be scrutinized, even though I know dam well I "shouldn't " have this one yet haha.

But anyways, there was no way I can keep this to myself.

Got it from South bay last month. Giving it the 60 70 humidity day, 99 night
75 temp day
50 at night.

My mini fridge is oficially for my rajah, not milk anymore hahah.

Ok, the site says they are seed grown, but based off of what I see......I doubt it,
Please forgive my pic quality, bear with me. It's just small as heck!

If you can see, under the leaf right there to the left, a growth point,

and on the right side of that leaf is another pitcher from another growth point.

hand on the bible. This is the truth.

What do you guys think?

Lot's of sketch stuff seems to be popping up from SBT recently. I saw somebody who got a "rajah" from them, but was definitely not, more like a lingulata. Jeremiah does not think highly of them either. I would just buy Neps from NE, if you plan to get more in the future.

That would be most unfortunate.

So far everything else from them is legit. Regia and my Darlingtonia.

Boy, that really would stink.

At what age/size of pitchers would we be able to verify?

95% sure that is a rajah, but I would not trust them regarding the origin of their plants ( SG, TC, etc). Looks healthy, keep up the good work!

Not to be a pest, but regardless of species (at the moment).... do they do multiple growth points this small?

Also, if you guys could lend me some info repotting wise. On the site it was sold as "ready to be repotted". What size and depth for it, if I were brave enough to do it?

Multiple growth points only really occurs on plants this small if they are still running on some of the hormones from tissue culture.

I wouldn't be worried about repotting it, the pot it is in now seems plenty large.

To be fair they did replace the plants in question, so the customers got the misidentified one free. I have heard some other accusations leveled at them but never seen any evidence of wrongdoing myself.

As for this plant, I would agree it does look like N. rajah and is likely a TC plant given the second growth point, unless that's actually a completely separate plant.

A couple of times I've bought seed grown neps from reputable sources and ended up with more than one plant, tiny seedlings can get missed especially when very close together

That would be cool if this was the case too

I don't think it's multiple seedlings, all the leaves appear to come from the exact same spot. Might be worth looking at it through a magnifying glass to check, though.

It's definitely something out of the normal, a completely different growth point. Just don't want to jeopardize health.
