Yours turned out good! You can see the crescent really well when you enlarge the photo.

I'm going to have to beg to differ on that. You have two camera flares showing the crescent. Thanks for sharing.

I don't think these are as sharp as they could be after resizing, but you get the picture. I discovered gravity was un-zooming my lens about halfway through so some of the suns are smaller than others. I also didn't get shots at regular intervals cause I was working in between. Other than that, I was happy with them. It's kind of funny...all that work to get these and without being full-res, they kind of just look like I drew them in MS Paint.

Twitterglitter, I like that one with the clouds you posted, that looks cool and fishman, maybe over-exposed, but it still looks cool!

Xr280xr, those are beautiful! I am going to have to get the proper filters for my dslr camera. What did you use with the camera to get such amazing photo's?

Sakaaaaa, The last total solar eclipse in the U.S. was in the 1970's. (I think) I did get to see a partial eclipse in the 1980's when I was in elementary school. I'm getting old, so I might not be around for the next one.

Your turn for a full eclipse will come one of these years.

Those are cool. I'm glad you pointed out the shadows. I spent the whole time looking up and I never thought to see what kind of wierd things were going on at ground level. Thanks!

Oh man, the nocturnal insects came out chirping, birds started singing, porch light, streetlights came on. It got hotter real fast, then cooler when full totality and back hotter then normal temperature.. Crazy stuff

That was neat. Where I am didn't get quite that dark, more like twilight. We had a 95% coverage.

Thank you so much for posting that.

I hope you will be! The next one in the US is 2024.

Thanks! I used a Nikon D7200 with a 300mm lens and a homemade filter using TSE 17 solar filter foil.

With 75% coverage here, it got pleasantly dim and cooler. I could feel the decreased intensity of the sun...like I wasn't being slowly sunburned anymore. I wish there was always a partial eclipse!
