Is having an outdoor bog difficult? Does it rain a lot where you live? Im in California and we are just coming out of a drought, but this summer we havent seen any rain. I just imagine myself taking out stock on distilled water because i can't imagine how you keep the bog wet lol

Here are a couple shots of my bog. It's really messy right now. Need to do some trimming. Plants include: S. alata, S. purpurea var. venosa, D. capillaris, D. brevifolia, D. intermedia, U. subulata, P. pumila, and a couple VFTs

Nepenthes also grow well with regular tap water, so you can probably save a little bit on the distilled water. If you can drink it (and not die), Nepenthes can drink it.

I had no idea Nepenthes could drink tap water. Can't grow them here in Denver because of the nonexistent humidity. I'm actually glad for that because it's no doubt saved me a lot of money.
