I started to wonder about getting florescent light. it turns out, we had one in the basement. i set it up and they are thriving :)
i cant wait for my nepenthes to arrive and my butterwort. when they come what should i do :)

i will give them dormancy. however, right now, in new jersey, we are having a hurracan and that means i have to buckle them up and give them sun. the wind will be 80 mph. so they would get ripped to shreds outside

Well I'm about 100 miles north of you most likely and we're waiting on Irene too. Your traps will be fine without Sun for a few days. By Sunday evening it's supposed to clear up anyway. Stay safe!

hey ur vfts look great u could put the light closer. wise descision taking the plants inside thats what I did Irene already passed over here :| I didnt think it was anything out of this world but it is getting stronger WATCH OUT and keep safe :)

thx cpman. i did put them closer to the light and they seem to enjoy it. however, i am still wondering about the seeds. what time do VFTs give flowers

She's gone up here now but high winds still raising hell. It was bad enough. We got over 6 inches of rain, about 90,000 in my county are without power, I never lost power though. Got lucky. Lots of flash flooding around but We're good at my place. Plants all made it through, I moved them to more protected areas.

Slept like a baby last night through most of it! LOL!
