Hello. I purchase a mini geenhouse like the picture below for my flytraps:

Is it okay to leave the rain covering on it? Or that covering will cut light as a household window? I would like to put my flytraps in it and place it in full sun.

that's the same one I use lol...I leave the cover on for shelter purposes; i.e severe weather, rain on a cold day, etc. but it might get a little hot in there if it's in full sun...like a sauna lol..

I would leave the cover off, because those greenhouses get extremely hot when left in the sun with the cover on. I wouldn't worry about a little rain, unless you are dealing with seedlings, because it's a free watering for the plants.

I just covered the top for minimal protection. We have smaller hail each year. Thanks for the helpful tips...helped me a lot.

More like a solar oven. Even on overcast days. Only close it completely at night if there is a freeze warning and don't forget to open it the next morning or you will cook everything in the matter of hours. BTDT. :(

While all the important information has been covered, I'd like to point out that I am highly amused nobody advertising the greenhouse thought about the absurdity of the following:

Bonsai trees and cacti having similar enough growth/watering requirements!

Hanging plants looking great on bottom shelves!
