Is my P. Gracilis dormant? I can't tell

https://imgur.com/gallery/aYD67 Scroll down a bit to find the Gracilis. I got it from CZplants about a month or so ago, and I've been barely watering it so far, for fear of over-watering during dormancy (because I simply can't tell if it is or is not dormant, I have 0 experience with this species)

Thanks in advance!

It looks like it's moving into dormancy. The only thing I can say is that the soil in the one photo looks like a lot of peat, and quite wet. Just keep it moist, not wet, and you should be fine. It looks like your light is good; how are you growing? (Lights, window, greenhouse?) mostly mineral medium?

Tray watering only, and I try to let the tray sit dry for a little bit before refilling it. Natural window lighting only, but it is the sunniest window in the house. Media is 50/50 peat perlite for some, but I am slowly transitioning them all into peat/perlite/SafeTSorb(similar to turface/poultry grit in a 1:1:1:1 ratio. Would you agree that this is a better media choice across the board?

Also, I've since pulled the gracilis out of the tray, per your thought that it is entering dormancy :)

Thanks!

I use pumice, sand, perlite and peat in equal amounts. I haven't grown much in windows (I use T5s) but I've heard others here say that good lighting seems to be really effective in avoiding problems. I've only lost one plant despite sometimes keeping things fairly moist and cool in winter, and I suppose the good lighting was part of that. (And the thing I did lose seemed to have dried out in a dormancy that never broke)
