Help identifying this sundew??

Hello,
Tonight I found this on my outside garden(don't keep CP's outside because of the pesticides) I never knew if it was going to survive so I left it out, it was a tiny green trunk when it got here.
I don't know why when temps started to drop it started to emerge, also it has this strange half circled leaves, apparently rain did it's job.
I have never seen a plant like this one.

Any ideas and tips to keep it growing???

It looks like one of the Australian Tuberous Drosera. They're Winter growers, I believe. Try doing a Google Image search for Tuberous Drosera.

I don't grow any of these, so I wont even attempt a guess. Try going to one of the Facebook CP sites. Maybe they can help. Johnny Myob grows a LOT of tuberous Sundews.

Good growing,
Mike

Do you live in Australia? If so, its probably drosera peltata. It's considered a common plant to you guys down there, but to us in the US, its super rare, only one vendor in the US that I know of sells them

Likely one of the easier to grow species in the peltata complex, maybe peltata, auriculata, or hookeri.

Wish I could live there, I hope one day I could move to that amazing country.
I searched and it match, actually the picture says auriculata.
Thanks

Wow, lucky you. I'm jealous. I can't keep tuberous ones alive. Had a peltata and kept it alive through one summer dormancy

Wow, that's some good luck. Hope it does well for you. I've likewise wanted to grow tuberous drosera for a while, but could never get the seeds to germinate.

Will probably want to check with Johnny on that ID. There is a whole complex of species that look like auriculata, and it is hard to get an exact ID from the picture.

A lot of tuberous dews are kinda like the rosseted natalensis compound...They kinda all look the same, only a very trained eye (in this case john myob) can tell the difference

I just checked with John and he told me it is a D. Peltata subs peltata.
