Hello Everyone,

I feel very lucky to find this web site about VFT! At the beginning I would like to mention about my bad English. I hope you would tolerate it and understand me.
I am a Turkish guy living with my wife in Russian Federation. We bought our first VFT yesterday. After some reading from the site I believe I can learn a lot from you Sirs and Madams. What threads you would suggest for a complete beginner? I do not want our VFT to get hurt!

I know this is not the thread to ask something but I could not find such info about it after a "little" bit reading on some threads. Can I use snow to get some pure water for our VFT instead of rain water? Because it is our first issue, pure water. As we live in Russia we cannot find any rain water in this period of time.

Greetings to everyone...

I should think that snow would be perfectly fine for pure water.
Try reading this article. It's very good and was written by the owners of the site (Matt and Steve)

Good luck with your Flytrap, and if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask!

Yes, in most cases snow will make very pure water. As long as the snow isn't in direct contact with soil or contaminated in some other way.
