So in the album I'll link below, I uploaded some pictures of 1 year old-ish seedlings that are breaking dormancy and are sprouting some new growth! Ignore the algae in the pictures, it's been humid and we've been getting some sprinkles here and there in my part of Southern California so ignore what looks like water logged plants, it just sprinkled right before I took the pictures. The other pics are some seeds that are 2 years old that have germinated! It shows that under proper care, even the oldest of seeds can germinate.
I sowed 200 seeds in total and have 100 in a Jiffy germination chamber filled with LFS that sits on a heat mat underneath a grow light and the other 100 I have sitting in a container of distilled water on a heat mat as well to keep the water warm and it's covered in plastic wrap with no holes. They were sowed the same time and the ones in water germinated in 2 weeks and the ones in LFS germinated in 3 weeks. I was curious to see which would germinate first but it's a pain in the butt having to move the seedlings from the water into the LFS.
Here's the pictures that were taken with my Nexus 6: http://imgur.com/a/ge1cb
