FOUR cotyledons?

I had some seeds I germinated. I was watering them and noticed this one out of the rest, I thought maybe I planted two seeds together but no this is one plant by itself with four seed leaves. None of them have made their first traps yet, I don't even think I saw the baby trap leaves forming yet either so this is definitely not one of those without a trap. I don't have a wealth of knowledge in botany but I do know most VFT have two seed leaves, so I'm not sure if this means anything but I figured I would share it.

That's pretty rare. Do you have a closer view?

No sadly my camera does not take macro shots that well. They can zoom in pretty well, however.

Actually it was germinated later than its neighbors from that picture. I very carefully dug it out and put it in its own standalone pot with a few other seedlings I liked. So the waiting game begins again, maybe in another month or two I'll have something worth updating :D

Well, I made a few mistakes growing but it's alive and on track so here it is now. I have no doubt it will be nice and healthy before dormancy.

You can skip dormancy for the first year with seedlings. I would recommend doing so.

Hello there! I've actually done that already. I have seedlings germinated at different times, one set skipped dormancy and this set didn't (as well as a handful of adults and some confused specimens.) I want to sync all of my current plants with the season here and I'm willing to deal with having a little less growth on my seedlings. Thank you though!

Well I'm certainly not poster-of-the-year material here, but I am still going at this hobby! Here is the latest picture of this seedling n.n
