Drosera finlaysoniana Question

In Northern California we have temperatures that can get into the 100's, and extremely low humidity 10-20% max. So I was wondering if I can grow them outside or would I need to keep them in a greenhouse.

That's a good question. I think they could handle it if they were planted early in Spring and taller than 2 inches before the hot weather hit.

I remember a YouTube video showing these growing outside on a guy's patio in San Diego, CA. They were 8 -12 inches tall and looking superb.

I have extra finlaysoniana seed you can have for an SASE if you try it and they go belly-up on you.

Good growing,
Mike

PM me for SASE address.

The You Tube video is several years old. It might be titled Drosera indica "Pink Flowers". I don't remember if he re-titled it after the species was renamed to Drosera finlaysoniana.

Good growing,
Mike

The Drosera indica complex are heat-loving species. The plants would probably love it.
