Thanks, everyone! I'm really glad you all enjoyed it so much. I've been trying to get this done for, literally, a whole entire year! I first got the idea for it about this time *last* September just as my plants started going dormant, so the only thing I could do for it back then was to start buying up some of the supplies. (Halloween is the only time of year you can really find very much tombstone and cemetery themed stuff!)
By the way, I had a lot of fun while buying some of the plastic bugs for it at a local novelty shop. As I was chatting with the woman behind the counter about the praying mantis, her daughter was nearby putting away some feather boas and she screamed when one of them touched her arm unexpectedly because she'd been listening to us talk about bugs! I laughed out loud and said, "Yep, that's exactly the type of reaction I was hoping for!"
Anyway, I basically had to forget about the whole thing over the winter until I could get the big pot planted in the spring. But then my summer got really busy with another huge project, and then I got really sick, twice, so I never got a chance to finish it until now. The hardest part of all was the big sign and the rickety picket fence around the perimeter. I had to "age" all of the popsicle sticks and other pieces of wood by soaking them in vinegar and steel wool, then rinse them over and over until the TDS reading dropped to a safe level. After they'd dried and I started gluing them together, I snapped some of them in two to give a few jagged edges here and there so the fence would have more of an aged, dilapidated look.
Once I finally got started assembling everything, it all came together fairly quickly. Well, except for all those darn little ants which had to be placed individually with tweezers. Your all's comments make it well worth all the work it took to finally accomplish this though. Thanks again!

Wow, thanks! That is easily the most awesomest compliment I have ever received!

Unfortunately, I had to disassemble it right after taking those pictures yesterday because it wouldn't fit under the lights in my basement *and* because I was afraid something might leach into the soil from all the props that might harm the plants.

LOL! Okay, I gladly accept my award for "Most Demented Presentation!"

Aww, shucks! Thanks! Nothing could ever beat the incredible plants you and Matt grow, of course! All I did was add a couple little tombstones!
