Hi, I wasn't going to post for help, but it seems my situation has nose-dived. I noticed today that my flavas have a bunch of black spots/clusters growing all over. At first, it looks like dirt, but it's most definitely spreading on the flavas. The leucophyllas look unphased or at least, unaffected for now. Should I spray some systemic fungicide on the crown?

I get that on my sarracenia as well, albeit a much lesser amount though. Usually it's where the nectar is. I've also seen it near the crown, I attribute that to less air flow. I've never had any detrimental effects from it but it won't hurt to spray it.

I believe it's called sooty mold.

Looks like sooty mold. It's unattractive, but shouldn't hurt them. Try neem oil to get rid of it, just in case.

Sooty mold is everywhere where I live. Unless it coats the entire plant it's harmless. It's a mold that grows on sugary exudate - doesn't actually feed on the plant. Of more concern is where the sugary stuff it's feeding on is coming from. Often it's from scale or aphids.
