That should be fine. As long as it doesn't state there's any added fertilizer or minerals then it won't harm your plants. Really the primary brands to avoid are Miracle-Gro and Scott's. They both add fertilizer to their peat moss which will burn the plants roots.

its got some wood chips in it, I picked out any large ones I see. how big of a problem would it cause if I didnt get all of them? common sense and lots of hiking tells me natural bogs have some twigs and what not in them too sooooo... shouldn't be too bad I hope? my last brand had almost none

I've been using this brand for the past year since it's what they carry at the local Home Depot and haven't had any issues with it. Like Ras said you'll probably find a few small pieces of wood in the bag but that shouldn't be a problem.
